Business, Community & Collective Healing

Welcome back to Rainbow Reflections.

I’m back after a whirlwind of life events, and I wanted to share some updates, insights, and heartfelt reflections with you all. As it turns out, this entire chapter has aligned with some powerful astrological shifts, adding extra meaning to each experience.

My Wedding & Honeymoon: Embracing the Full Moon’s Intensity

My wedding took place just after the powerful full moon in Aries—bringing a spark of vibrant, joyful energy that felt incredibly fitting for such a big life moment. Although I had planned to keep in touch with you all throughout that time, I ended up choosing to be fully present in that energy. Celebrating love with family and friends is a rare and beautiful experience, and I’m grateful to have been able to savor every second of the experience.

After the wedding, we set off to Iceland for our honeymoon. By then, the sun had moved into Scorpio, lending a rich depth and intensity to the trip from the moment we arrived in Reykjavik. This Scorpio energy guided us to slow down, relax, and appreciate the stillness of simply being in the moment together. Living in the present, taking in Iceland’s otherworldly beauty, and finding calm in each other’s company was profound and rejuvenating. (I had one little hangry moment, which kept things real, but otherwise, it was such a magical trip!)

Returning Home & Navigating Election Anxiety

Coming back home was a jarring shift on multiple levels—physically, emotionally, and energetically. After the tranquility and deep connection of our time in Iceland, the re-entry into the U.S. felt almost surreal. If there’s one lesson I took from it: try not to travel on election day! With Pluto moving toward Aquarius, the atmosphere around political change has felt especially charged, adding an extra layer of intensity to everything. As we boarded our second flight back to the States, the election results started coming in. The air was thick with anticipation, tension, and, for me, a deep sense of uncertainty. This uncertainty quickly spiraled into anxiety, and I spent that entire flight in a state of restless, uneasy anticipation.

This anxiety has lingered, like a subtle hum in my body, ever since that flight. I realized that my discomfort was not just about the election itself but about the weight of what it represents—the ways our society is shifting, the stakes involved, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead. It’s easy to carry this energy into our work, and it got me thinking about a belief I hold deeply as a business owner: business is political.

After the election, I, like many others, found myself doom-scrolling on social media, taking in reactions to the day’s events. One thing I saw repeatedly was some business owners frustrated that they “couldn’t” sell on such an emotionally charged day. Many complained that they shouldn’t have to stop their sales simply to appease others’ feelings, as they, too, “needed to make money to survive.” Seeing these responses deeply upset me. To me, it was a striking example of what happens when people treat business as though it exists in a bubble—disconnected from the larger social and emotional landscape. Selling on a day heavy with collective grief or uncertainty can seem out of touch, even heartless, and it reminded me why I feel so strongly that our businesses are woven into the fabric of our communities.

I first wrote about this back in 2021 in a blog post (you can read it here), and this belief feels more relevant than ever. Our businesses don’t exist in a vacuum; they’re part of the social and emotional fabric of our communities. To genuinely serve, we need to meet people where they are, and that means being sensitive to their emotions and experiences, especially on days when the air is thick with collective feelings.

Selling to people on a day that’s heavy with uncertainty or grief can feel tone-deaf, out of step with what people need. Instead, I encourage fellow business owners to pause, take stock of the emotional climate, and consider how current events may impact their communities. This approach isn’t about steering clear of difficult conversations; rather, it’s about building trust and connection through empathy and understanding—values that can resonate deeply and create a lasting impact on your business and beyond.

Building Intentional Community Post-Election

With the election behind us, Scorpio season offers a moment for deep transformation. This astrological season invites us to examine our shadows, face truths we might have avoided (ahem—that the US hates women), and release attachments that no longer serve our growth. In the wake of the election, it’s a powerful time to look closely at and reflect on the communities we build and belong to.

This morning, I listened to a podcast episode of We Can Do Hard Things, which explored the importance of building intentional, values-aligned communities—connecting with those who genuinely respect and honor the rights and dignity of all people. You can listen here. This message resonates deeply, especially during Scorpio season, which urges us to be honest with ourselves and brave enough to stand by our values.

In both business and life, I believe it’s essential to be intentional about who we allow into our circles. Now is the time to connect deeply and meaningfully with people who align with our vision for a better world. Let’s surround ourselves with those who are not only kind but who are committed to building a just and inclusive community for everyone.

The Spiritual Responsibility to Speak Out

Scorpio season also reminds me of the importance of integrity in spirituality. As we navigate this period of transformation, I believe we have a responsibility to call out harmful behaviors—even within spiritual spaces. The Conspirituality podcast has been insightful on this topic since the early days of the pandemic in 2020, revealing how spirituality is sometimes misused by different wellness and new age charlatans to spread misinformation or reinforce privilege, which can be harmful. Listen to it here.

As spiritual beings, we should strive to uplift everyone and build communities rooted in compassion, truth, and justice. If spirituality is being twisted to harm or exclude, it’s essential to speak up and create spaces where everyone feels respected and valued.

Feeling the Weight, But Not Getting Stuck

With the recent election, I know many of us are feeling the collective weight of this moment. This period of transformation can bring big, sometimes overwhelming emotions, and it’s okay to feel sad, anxious, or even angry. Give yourself the time to process and honor your feelings.

However, let’s not allow this sadness to keep us frozen. We’re being called to channel these intense emotions into action, to stand up, advocate, and shape a future where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.

A Collective Moment of Transformation

Each of these experiences—my wedding, honeymoon, election day, and reconnecting with my purpose—has felt like part of a much larger transformation. The current astrological shifts, especially with Pluto moving toward Aquarius, underscore that we’re all on a collective journey of growth and change. This season invites us to let go of what no longer serves us and step into a future that resonates with our values. I will be moving forward into this new chapter with renewed clarity and purpose.

Thank you all for your patience, support, and understanding as I navigated these big life events. I’m look forward to reconnecting and move forward together with a shared vision for a brighter future.

Wishing you Rainbows,
