Blooming in Cycles

I thought I’d still be super focused on work at this point, but wow, did I underestimate how laser focused I'd be on the wedding one week out. With so many little details to manage and finalize, it’s been a whirlwind. Between the excitement and last-minute tasks, my mind is definitely more in wedding mode than work mode right now.

I’ve been incredibly lucky, though, that all my clients have been so understanding and flexible as the wedding approaches. Everyone’s been amazing about adjusting timelines because of the wedding, and I attribute this to being really clear and upfront about the realities of my availability at this time. I’ve been extremely intentional about setting clear boundaries leading up to the wedding—knowing exactly when I’ll be working and when I won’t and communicating that directly with clients.

I've also done a lot of work this year building up my reputation as a trusted industry professional, and that have served me well heading into this beautiful (and a bit chaotic) time. This has allowed me to step away from my business slightly leading up to the big day without sacrificing my income or ruining my client experience. If anything, this has improved it because my clients trust that as life throws stuff my way I am still able to accommodate their projects and ensure they get completed to their satisfaction. This is a big win for me because in the past I would have never been able to do this properly!

As far as the wedding itself goes, I’ve been recently reflecting on the whole planning process and I wanted to share details about it with you all. I just published a new Substack piece about how my fiancé and I planned our wedding to keep it affordable, fun, and (mostly) stress-free. If you’re curious about how we navigated this planning process that skipped tradition in many ways, you can check it out here.

Things will go back to regularly scheduled business programming soon, but I’ve learned that it’s not just okay—it’s necessary—to take pauses for big life events. We often get caught up in the constant go-go-go, the masculine energy of always pushing forward. But I’ve recently gained a new perspective on the importance of leaning into the feminine—allowing ourselves to just be. Honoring life’s cycles, stepping out of the hustle, and giving ourselves permission to rest is so powerful. Thank you, Aphrodite Fertility, for helping me see this from an energetic perspective.

Even though I’m not fully immersed in my business right now, I’m not letting it fall behind. I’m continuing to prioritize my current clients and relationship building through networking, but I’m also allowing myself space to rest, breathe, and celebrate. Taking this time is essential, because we don’t have to constantly be in "building mode" in business. We’re allowed to bloom in cycles, and these pauses help us show up more effectively when it’s time to focus again. I know this time away will recharge me, so I can return to my business ready to be the best version of myself for my clients.

Thank you all for your support during this exciting (and slightly overwhelming) time—I’ll be sharing more as we get closer to the big day!

Wishing you Rainbows,
