Pre-Work
The thing about building a website, is that it involves a lot of collaboration between you and me, your designer. Not only do you need to gather the content for your website in advance, you have to plan for any potential photography you’re going to need as well. Both of these are essential content pieces I will need from you to bring your website to life. You can either gather these on your own, or I can support you in finding a copywriter and/or photographer to work with. I will need both your website content and photos ready to go within one month of our project start date.

Strategy
Once I receive back your website questionnaires, I’ll start the strategy part of our project. This includes creating a sitemap, determining the different user journeys your clients will need to experience on the site, researching any site functionality we will need to integrate, and gathering site inspiration to start getting an idea of the visual landscape we are going to create.

Design
Once the strategy is approved, I’ll start to bring your brand to life via a home page mockup. I will take all the strategy start to incorporate it into a one-of-a-kind site design for your business. As with brand design, I follow the one-concept method in web design as well. It is my job to showcase the best design solution to you. Because of the depth of strategy I do, I’ve rarely had issues come up with clients.

Refinements
This allows us to mindfully develop, create and present a website solution that has your brand’s best interest at heart. For your home page mockup, I allow three rounds of refinement since it is your first time seeing your site design come to life. This is where you can really narrow in and provide feedback to get the site exactly how you want it. From there, once pages are developed, you will be limited to one refinement period per interior page (depending on project scope).

Development
With an approved website mockup, I will start building out your home page for review. This will be presented first, and then I’ll go in and create all your interior pages. This is where your design will start to come to life as I incorporate animations and additional features to make your website come to life.

Site Testing & Training
Prior to launch, we will test your site on a variety of browsers and screen sizes to ensure everything is working properly. We will also create your training videos at this time so you can feel empowered to jump in and edit your site on your own as needed.
