Pre-Work
The thing about building a website, is that it involves a lot of collaboration between you and me, your designer. Not only do you need to gather the content for your website in advance, you have to plan for any potential photography you’re going to need as well. Both of these are essential content pieces I will need from you to bring your website to life. You can either gather these on your own, or I can support you in finding a copywriter and/or photographer to work with. I will need both your website content and photos ready to go within one month of our project start date.

Strategy
At the start of the project, we’ll schedule a strategy meeting to choose the best template for your site from my template shop. I’ll provide insight on which template is the best fit based on your business needs, content structure, and functionality requirements. From there, we’ll plan your site map, discuss any necessary integrations or special features, and outline exactly what I’ll be working on during the remix, ensuring your new site is strategic, aligned, and ready to convert.

Home Page Design
I start by applying your branding to the template and fully designing the Home Page first. This allows us to dial in the design, layout, and overall feel before moving on to the rest of the site. We’ll go through three rounds of refinements on the Home Page to ensure everything feels aligned. Once the Home Page is finalized, I’ll extend the design style to the interior pages, with one round of refinements allotted per interior page. This approach ensures a thoughtful, cohesive design that not only looks incredible but also supports your brand’s goals and user experience.

First it depends on if your site is on 7.0 or 7.1.
If it is on 7.0, then it’s important that we update your site to the latest version of Squarespace. This means that most likely we will rebuild the site on a new account and then transfer over your domain from your existing site to the new one.
If your site is on 7.1 we have two options. We can rebuild the site on a new account and then transfer over your domain from your existing site to the new one or we can rebuild on your current site.
This is something we will discuss in detail during our Discovery Call. -
No problem if you've never used Squarespace before! A Template Remix is designed to be user-friendly, offering you a seamless transition into managing your new site.
