Taking a Pause
Welcome back to the Rainbow Reflections newsletter.
I hope this message finds you in good spirits. Today, I want to talk about something deeply personal and important: burnout and the necessity of taking a break.
Last week was particularly challenging for me. I experienced the loss of a beautiful soul I had the honor of knowing, and I went through a private matter that significantly impacted my mental health. These events have reminded me of the importance of honoring our emotional and physical needs, especially during tough times.
In the midst of processing these experiences, I serendipitously stumbled upon a podcast that has been incredibly supportive. The episode, titled Overthinking About Burnout, offers profound insights on how to navigate burnout and find balance in our current day to day life. I highly recommend giving it a listen if you’re feeling overwhelmed or in need of some guidance at this time.
Additionally, I’d like to share a previous episode from season one of Rainbow Reflections as a gentle reminder to honor your energetics in business. In Managing Energetic Cycles While Running a Business, I discuss practical ways to align your work with your natural rhythms and maintain your well-being.
In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Nisha Mody, a relational healing and life coach. Nisha and I delve into the importance of recognizing and respecting our energetic cycles, especially when dealing with mental health challenges like depression and anxiety. We talked about practical strategies for managing these cycles, such as adjusting our schedules to match our energy levels, and the importance of self-compassion and rest.
TAKING A PAUSE FOR SELF-CARE AND RENEWAL
To truly honor where I’m at, I have decided not to release a podcast episode this week or a newsletter next week. This break will allow me the time and space to recharge so that I can return in two weeks, refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the season with optimism and exuberance.
Remember, it’s okay to take a step back, to rest, and to prioritize your mental health. We can only give our best to others when we are at our best.
Thank you for being a part of this community. Your support and understanding mean the world to me. I'll see you in July to continue exploring creativity and entrepreneurship with you from a spiritual lens.
Wishing You Rainbows,
