Reflections, Milestones, and a Big Year Ahead
Welcome back to Rainbow Reflections.
Tomorrow is my birthday! As I celebrate another trip around the sun, I’ve been reflecting on the lessons, milestones, and joys of the past year. It’s been a transformative time, both personally and professionally, and I’m so excited to share some of my reflections with you.
The Power of In Person Connections
One of the biggest realizations I’ve had this year is the profound importance of getting offline and connecting with people face to face. This realization hit home after attending over 100 networking events last year. Those experiences changed my perspective on how to build genuine connections with other business owners. I’ve found that connecting in person is a much more fruitful way to foster relationships compared to relying on digital sources like Instagram marketing. In fact, this shift has profoundly changed the way I approach marketing in my business. I’m no longer focusing on Instagram as a core strategy (as I shared in a previous reflection) because I’ve seen the power and impact of in-person connections firsthand.
In-person connections have a way of grounding us and reminding us of what truly matters. Whether it’s meeting up with a fellow creative, collaborating with a client in real life, or simply grabbing coffee with a friend, these moments are vital for our mental health and the health of our businesses. If you’ve been feeling stuck or disconnected, I encourage you to step away from the screen and prioritize some face-to-face time—you never know where it might lead!
A Beautiful, new, personal Chapter
On a more personal note, I’m thrilled to share that I got married this year! It took a long time and a lot of lessons for my partner and me to reach a place where we were ready for this step, but doing so created a deep trust and bond between us that I’m so grateful to have. Dave has taught me so much about trust and companionship. These are things I've lacked in most of the other relationships I've had in my life. I’m truly blessed to have found such a good man on the dance floor. This new season has been such a beautiful, love-filled chapter, and it’s a reminder that both life and business are about connection, love, and showing up fully.
Building a Brand That Feels Like You
Speaking of showing up fully, I’ve also been reflecting on my journey of creating a brand that feels truly aligned with who I am. This journey hasn’t been a straight path but rather a deep dive into understanding my core values, personality, and the unique energy I bring to my work. Along the way, I’ve discovered how embracing authenticity in my branding not only lights me up but also helps me connect with the right audience—the people who resonate with my vision and approach.

Embracing Change
As I look ahead, I can feel my business on the precipice of something big. I’m not entirely sure what’s coming, but I’m staying open to the possibilities. Growth often comes with uncertainty, and I’m learning to lean into that, trusting that the right path will reveal itself in time. If you’ve been feeling similarly, know that you’re not alone. Sometimes the best thing we can do is stay curious and allow the answers to come in their own time.
Thank you for being part of my journey—whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just joined in recently, your support means the world to me. Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and showing up as our most authentic selves.
Wishing you Rainbows,
