Pre-Work
The thing about building a website, is that it involves a lot of collaboration between you and me, your designer. Not only do you need to gather the content for your website in advance, you have to plan for any potential photography you’re going to need as well. Both of these are essential content pieces I will need from you to bring your website to life. You can either gather these on your own, or I can support you in finding a copywriter and/or photographer to work with. I will need both your website content and photos ready to go within one month of our project start date.

Strategy
Once I receive back your website questionnaires, I’ll start the strategy part of our project. This includes creating a sitemap, determining the different user journeys your clients will need to experience on the site, researching any site functionality we will need to integrate, and meeting with you to ensure we’re on the same page.

Design
Once the strategy is approved, we will decide what template we want to move forward with. From there, I’ll start to implement your brand visually to the home page. I will take take everything we explored during strategy and use it to transform your template into a website that is as unique as you are.

Refinements
There are three rounds of refinement allotted to the Home Page. From there, the design style from be replicated to the rest of the interior pages. One round of refinement is allotted per interior page. This allows us to mindfully develop, create and present a website solution that has your brand’s best interest at heart.

Development
With an approved website mockup, I will start building out your home page for review. This will be presented first, and then I’ll go in and create all your interior pages. This is where your design will start to come to life as I incorporate animations and additional features to make your website come to life.

First it depends on if your site is on 7.0 or 7.1.
If it is on 7.0, then it’s important that we update your site to the latest version of Squarespace. This means that most likely we will rebuild the site on a new account and then transfer over your domain from your existing site to the new one.
If your site is on 7.1 we have two options. We can rebuild the site on a new account and then transfer over your domain from your existing site to the new one or we can rebuild on your current site.
This is something we will discuss in detail during our Discovery Call. -
